The last couple of weeks have been the most exciting of my life – and I haven’t even left the house! Though I have hinted about it on social media (via Boomerangs of cartwheels in my garden), I can now officially tell you all why: I have been signed and will now be represented by the lovely Clare Coombes from The Liverpool Literary Agency!
I am incredibly fortunate to have found an agent like Clare who loves my LGBT+ contemporary rom-com, Honeymoon for One, as much as I do, and cannot wait to see where this amazing opportunity will lead. I am so proud of my northern roots, and so I couldn’t think of a better home for my stories than an agency that works hard to uplift the voices of northern authors. Being a successfully published author has been my dream for a long, long time and it feels surreal to know I’m one step closer to getting there!
I will still be releasing novellas with Bryant Street Shorts as part of my freelance work, but I’m so excited to move forward in my career with new experiences and new stories to write with a talented agent by my side. I want to thank Clare, my family, friends, and anybody else who has supported my work thus far. Being a writer isn’t always easy and I could have chosen plenty of less challenging career paths, but I’ve only ever received constant encouragement from the people I’m surrounded by and I couldn’t ask for more. I am so lucky, so grateful, and so ready to work hard and chase those dreams.
